Republicans and Christian conservatives on Monday cheered House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) after she condemned Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) for allegedly making anti-Semitic remarks.
“Omar’s use of anti-Semitic tropes and prejudicial accusations about Israel’s supporters is deeply offensive," Pelosi said in her statement, which called on Omar to apologize.
Pelosi's statement was met with approval from Republicans.
"Something I never thought I’d say: Bravo Nancy!" Sen Ted. Cruz (R-TX) exclaimed.
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) said that Republicans should be thanking the Speaker.
"When they're right, let's thank them," Huckabee said in a tweet. "Kudos to Speaker Pelosi and House Democrats from calling out out the reprehensible anti-Semitic remarks."
