Chris Cuomo laughs at conservative over Trump lies: ‘The president is not a truthful person — it’s just factual’

Symone Sanders, former spokesperson for Bernie Sanders, and Chris Cuomo, ganged up on former Trump campaign operative Steve Cortes Tuesday during a spirited debate Tuesday.

At one point, the conversation steered into wondering if the president was a liar, which Cortes, somewhat unconvincingly, said he was not, prompting howls from Sanders and the CNN host, too.

"I'm just saying the president is not a truthful person and if folks have a problem with the word liar, it's just factual," said Sanders.

"Both of you just said that the president is a habitual liar as if that's a matter of established fact...and I'm going to push back on that," Cortes countered.

But Cuomo and Sanders then recounted several moments Trump has been caught in lies.

"Let me give you an example," Sanders said. "He lies about his crowd sizes everywhere he goes."

Cortes wouldn't even accept this as one of Trump's established lies, saying: "when did he lie about crowd size?"

"When did he lie about it....I don't recall him lying about it?"

Then Cuomo jumped it to say "she's giving you a break right now," of Sanders' answer.  "You're lucky you didn't ask me this question," he said, before then listing a few lies (CNN's Don Lemon later listed even more Trump lies as well riffing off of Cuomo's segment).
