CNN's Jake Tapper destroys the 'shameless powerful people' who covered for billionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein
Jake Tapper, the CNN anchor of 'The Lead'

Cutting to the chase hours before he appeared on his regular CNN program, host Jake Tapper called out the many people who stepped in and helped convicted child molester Jeffrey Epstein hide his crimes -- then get a slap on the wrist when sentenced in a plea deal.

Taking to Twitter, Tapper first attacked President Donald Trump's Labor Secretary Alex Acosta, who was a U.S. Attorney involved in the case at the time, with being complicit.

"Judge’s order is actually pretty uncomplicated and clear: DOJ and then-US Attorney Acosta’s office demonstrated everything but fealty to the accused pedophile and misled his victims. The question is WHY," Tapper wrote.

He then expanded his attack to the 'powerful people' who were friends of Epstein, who have much to answer for.

"One of the ugly facts laid bare in the Epstein plea deal is that many powerful people feel zero shame helping a billionaire who has molested girls as young as 14" he tweeted. "Zero consequences. Crimes against kids happen not only because of the criminals but their support networks."
