An Ohio man was arrested after he attacked a teenager he saw molesting a 5-year-old boy.

Richard Adams was arrested and charged with felonious assault Thursday after he beat up a 17-year-old he saw sexually assaulting the boy, reported WEWS-TV.

The 20-year-old Adams said he walked into the living room of a home and saw the teen on top of the child with the child’s pants around his ankles, and he physically intervened to stop the assault after asking someone else to call the police.

“I didn’t just call the cops and let it pursue,” Adams said. “I stepped into action and stopped it.”

Police said Adams, who told investigators he experienced similar abuse as a young boy, was released from jail the following day on a personal bond.

News of the story spread nationwide, and Adams has had multiple offers to pay for his legal expenses, and police said they’ve fielded numerous messages expressing frustration with the arrest.

“We truly understand the interest, passion and concerns with this type of case,” police said in a Facebook post. “It has been processed by the court and will continue to go through the system. Most of the people within our police departments, courts and the entire justice system have families of their own and the men and women are diligently working to ensure that everything is done correctly so that justice is served.”

The media may not have to quit their addiction to President Donald Trump anytime soon.

Trump baffled by vaccine hold-up because he has the ’emotional make-up of a small child’: CNN

Reporting on a planned White House task force meeting on Tuesday where FDA head Steven Hahn is expected to provide an update on the availability of the COVID-19 vaccine, CNN's John Harwood said officials in the government are having to fend off a pestering Donald Trump.

According to CNN's Jim Sciutto, Trump is "upset" that the vaccine hasn't been released to the public yet because he doesn't understand the complexity of the massive public health project and why the FDA hasn't approved the vaccine's release.

"This is not the first time we've been concerned about the president interfering, perhaps with an eye towards politics, to the scientific questions about vaccine approval. What do we know?" Sciutto asked.
