President Donald Trump seems to have finally learned what asylum seekers are at the U.S.-Mexican border. For months he's claimed that the U.S. is being invaded by undocumented immigrants coming over the southern border.

As a point of fact, the overwhelming majority of those at the border from the caravans are asylum seekers, which is outlined in the Refugee Act of 1980. But in a Sunday tweet, he appeared to blame the law on Democrats.

"The Democrats are allowing a ridiculous asylum system and major loopholes to remain as a mainstay of our immigration system. Mexico is likewise doing NOTHING, a very bad combination for our Country. Homeland Security is being sooo very nice, but not for long!" Trump tweeted.
