Fox News announced on Wednesday that Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders will hold a town hall event on the conservative network.

In a statement, Fox News said that the town hall had been scheduled for April 15 at 6:30 p.m. ET. It will be hosted by Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum.

"Baier and MacCallum have played critical roles throughout the network's election coverage," the statement said, "including moderating debates, town halls and co-anchoring during major political events."

The Democratic National Committee has so far refused to allow Fox News to host official primary debates.
