Teacher resigns after he’s caught bragging about indoctrinating students into white nationalism

Kevin Pummill, a former high school social studies teacher, has resigned after being exposed for bragging about promoting white nationalism to his students.

Local news station WEEK reports that Pummill left his position at Pekin Community High School after an anti-fascist website called “Identify Europa” accused him of “actively using his position as a high school teacher to advance white nationalist ideas and myths with the children he is entrusted to teach.”

The school initially placed Pummill on administrative leave in the wake of the accusations before announcing his resignation this week.

“During the course of the investigation, the teacher resigned from employment and will not return to the school,” the school district announced on Tuesday. “While the resignation occurred early in the process of the investigation, school representatives were able to confirm that the teacher made a number of troubling and offensive posts on a private web-based message board.”

Leaked chats obtained by “Identify Eruopa” showed that Pummill regularly made disparaging comments about black Americans and he also boasted of “redpilling” some of his male students about the dangers of immigrants.

“They realize we are being invaded,” he said, using a common white nationalist talking point to describe immigrants who come to the United States.

Robert Reich walks through all the ways Trump is selling America to foreign powers for his own personal profit

Notorious class warrior Robert Reich wrote a sharp attack of President Donald Trump for his international policies that are doing nothing more than scoring him personal cash and power.

Writing for The Guardian, Reich called Trump "the most xenophobic and isolationist American president in modern history," saying that the president has been "selling America to foreign powers for his own personal benefit."

While Trump promised during the 2016 election that he would "bring troops home," it was likely assumed that Trump meant the decades-long wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The work on the ground in Syria was mostly being done by Kurdish allies and not American soldiers. The number of troops on the ground in Syria, prior to Turkey beginning their bombing campaign, was relatively low.
