A 70-year-old man — who was previously convicted of robbing a series of South Jersey banks — has been arrested and charged with robbing a Rite Aid in Evesham last year, officials said. Michael Swift walked into the drug store on North Maple Avenue just before 5 p.m. on Nov. 15 and showed a cashier a threatening note demanding cigarettes and money, Evesham police said Wednesday. Swift, of Burlington City, then fled on foot toward Church Road where police found an unidentified item that helped investigators eventually learn who committed the robbery, officials said.
