On Monday, Steve Bannon presented himself at the FBI field office in Washington, D.C. to turn himself in on two charges of contempt of Congress for his refusal to cooperate with the congressional committee investigating the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

According to reporters, Bannon livestreamed his surrender to the FBI from his account on the right-wing social media platform GETTR — and even used the moment to tease his upcoming show and the guests who would be appearing on it.

A small crowd of reporters and demonstrators gathered outside the FBI field office to wait for Bannon's surrender. One man could clearly be seen holding up a sign that says "CLOWNS ARE NOT ABOVE THE LAW," according to ABC justice reporter Beatrice-Elizabeth Peterson.
