One year after then-President Donald Trump discussed his views on coronavirus during an Oval Office address, President Joe Biden gave his first prime-time address on the same subject.
The two speeches were contrasted in a video mashup by The Recount.
"This is the most aggressive and comprehensive effort to confront a foreign virus in modern history," Trump argued.
The next clip showed Biden noting, "as of now, total deaths in America: 527,726."
"No nation is more prepared or more resilient than the United States," Trump argued.
His clip was followed by Biden finishing his thoughts on the death toll.
"That's more deaths than in World War I, World War II, the Vietnam War, and 9/11 combined," Biden explained.
