President Donald Trump's insistence on continuing to push his "Big Lie" about election fraud is creating chaos within the GOP as hardliners gather in Orlando for the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).
"This chaotic post-presidency has twisted the GOP into a pretzel," CNN's Jim Acosta reported. "With Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) saying he could support another Trump campaign, even though he just condemned the former president right after his impeachment trial."
Acosta also warned about how the "Big Lie" was being pushed at CPAC.
"And we should note, there are sessions at this conference dedicated to advancing Trump's 'Big Lie' that he won the election," Acosta explained. "We should also note that Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) was defending his role and his attempts to overturn the election results -- he got a standing ovation for that."
