Judge slams Democratic-backed lawsuit to keep scrapped NY congressional maps as ‘Hail Mary’

ALBANY, N.Y. — A federal judge on Wednesday denied a Democratic-backed injunction attempting to force the state of New York to move ahead with a June congressional primary using district maps scrapped last week by the state’s highest court.
