A Connecticut cable television station has agreed to run an anti-Lieberman ad created by a Political Action Committee called ImpeachPAC, RAW STORY has found.

ImpeachPAC was formed "to raise money for Democratic House and Senate candidates who support the immediate and simultaneous impeachment of George Bush and Dick Cheney for the lies they told to launch the disastrous war in Iraq."

"The ad, called "Lie and Die," presents Iraq War lies by George Bush, Dick Cheney, and Joe Lieberman," according to a press release announcing that New England Cable News will begin broadcasting it to their 3.5 million subscribers, including 573,000 households in Connecticut.

Another anti-Lieberman ad created by ImpeachPAC attempted to link his incumbency to a rise in neo-Nazi activity in the US military. The group accused Comcast of censorship for refusing to air it without specifying why.

On Monday, the cable company informed the PAC that they wouldn't air the advertisement because it was "insufficiently documented."

"We are extremely grateful to NECN for opposing censorship and standing up for the First Amendment," said Bob Fertik, president of ImpeachPAC, in the press release.

"ImpeachPAC has raised over $75,000 from nearly 2,000 donors and has endorsed six candidates who actively support the impeachment of George Bush and Dick Cheney," the press release continues.

"We hope these ads will persuade voters across the country to defeat those politicians - like Joe Lieberman - who continue to support George Bush's 'lie and die' policy," Fertik states in the press release.

The new advertisement opens with a shot of President Bush with the word "lie" covering his face next to the quote "Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa" as his voice from the 2003 State of The Union Address is heard. A loud crash is then heard, accompanied by a shot of Iraqi children killed in Iraq while the word "Die" fills the screen.

Then Cheney is shown in the same manner as Bush next to his quote, "Saddam Hussein now has weapons of mass destruction." The same crash is heard with a shot of an Iraqi woman weeping over a dead child covered with blood on a stretcher.

Lieberman's quote from last year, "Iraq is a lot better, different than a year ago" gets the "Lie" treatment, as well, followed by another woman holding up a dead child with the word "Die" superimposed on it.

Finally, Senator Kerry is shown on one side with small pictures of Bush, Cheney and Lieberman on the other. "My plan is not cut and run," says Kerry. "Their plan is Lie and Die."

As Kerry speaks, the words "Lie and Die" each respectively fill the pictures of Bush, Cheney and Kerry.

The advertisment ends with a shot of Bush leaning it to embrace Lieberman with the words "6 more years?" superimposed on top of it.
