Daily Show: Gonzales gives 'pleasure to the President'
Jon Stewart declares on The Daily Show that there's "good news" for the White House regarding the tempest surrounding Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.
"Just one week after the outrageous Walter Reed Medical Center scandal, that story is gone! Off the front page, way back now in 'Marmaduke' country," says Stewart. "'Cause there's a new kid in town, and his name is Outrageous-Fired-Federal Prosecutors-Attorney General Scandal."
Stewart also mocks the clichéd Washington phrase that officials "serve at the pleasure of the President."
"By the way, 'at the pleasure of the president' is kind of a lousy talking point," Stewart joshed, "but it's a great romance novel."
