It literally takes two men to fill Rush Limbaugh’s shoes. Conservative pundits Clay Travis and Buck Sexton will take over the Premiere Networks afternoon spot left open when Limbaugh died in February following a long battle with lung cancer. Travis, a host on Fox Sports Radio, will continue working that gig while moving into his new one. Sexton, who hosts the three-hour “The Buck Sexton Show,” filled in for Limbaugh on occasion. While taking over for one of the most powerful names in right-wing media won’t be easy, both broadcasters expressed excitement over that challenge on Twitter Thursday....

The Manhattan district attorney's office will begin presenting evidence against Donald Trump to a grand jury as part of an investigation into hush money payments he made to an adult film actress.
Trump's former attorney Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to eight counts related to the payments made to Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election, and a grand jury was recently empaneled and witness testimony could begin soon -- sending a clear signal that district attorney Alvin Bragg could soon decide whether to charge Trump in the case, reported the New York Times.
Federal prosecutors discussed bringing charges against Trump in the case as his time in office ended but ultimately determined he would likely be prosecuted for his role in the Jan. 6 insurrection or some other more serious crime, and Department of Justice guidelines prevented him from being charged earlier, while he was the sitting president.
Cohen met with Manhattan prosecutors earlier this month in the first such meeting in more than a year.
Fox News host Emily Compagno said that the United States needs a "fortified boundary" or another type of wall on the northern border with Canada.
During a panel discussion on the Fox News Outnumbered program, Compagno pointed to news that illegal northern border crossings had doubled in recent years.
"Just focusing back on the northern border," she said. "You know it's a misnomer when people say now the drugs are coming from Canada. We have 150 countries represented by the millions of illegal immigrants flooding over the southern border. Canada is no different."
"I wonder what the name will be of the soldier who dies trying to save someone at the northern border," she continued. "And I have to point out, every forward operating base and FOB that we've been to in Iraq and the like, every full-operational military base in foreign soil and here in this country, right?"
She added: "They have a boundary; they have a fortified boundary. So why is it that in our homeland, in our home soil, our borders, northern now and southern, are absolutely open? It's preposterous. And it's because not only weak policies but, unfortunately, a weak president."

Florida House Speaker Paul Renner announced a new measure this Monday that would removing state requirements for a permit and training to carry a concealed gun, the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Since “Florida led the nation in concealed carry," it will now remove the “government permission slip to carry,” Renner said.
The “constitutional carry" legislation would eliminate the need for a permit to carry a gun as well as the weapons training requirement that goes along with it. As the Sentinel points out, of the law is passed it would make Florida the 26th state to approve carrying a gun without a permit.
Supporters of the bill say that criminals don’t worry about getting a weapons permits, so citizens who want to protect themselves shouldn't have to worry about it either.
Gov. Ron DeSantis has urged lawmakers to pass such legislation.
But House minority leader Fentrice Driskell, a Democrat, has expressed concerns about the legislation.
“I’m very concerned about this potential legislation because I do think it would make our communities less safe,” Driskell said. “It wouldn’t surprise me if we saw a special session on this, prior to the regular session.”
