Tom Hanks says ‘Forrest Gump’ sequel talks lasted ‘all of 40 minutes’

The makers of “Forrest Gump” decided not to open up another box of chocolates. Discussions about a possible sequel to the Oscar-winning movie didn’t get very far before being shelved, star Tom Hanks shared on a new episode of the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast. “I will say that, with a long time in between, we did take a stab at talking about another ‘Forrest Gump,’ that lasted all of 40 minutes,” Hanks said on Wednesday’s show.
