CNN's Sara Murray reported on Thursday that former President Donald Trump is still making life miserable for Georgia Republicans, especially as Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is probing his efforts to overturn the 2020 election in the state.

According to Murray, Willis has requested an original copy of a letter that Trump sent to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in September asking him to "decertify" the results of the 2020 election as part of her ongoing probe into his interference in the election.

Murray also said that the former president's public statements are giving investigators additional fodder.

"While Trump continues to bellow about 2020 and inserts himself into Peach State politics, his public rants are bringing new fodder to investigators as they discuss whether his actions were criminal," she said.

The combination of Willis's probe and Trump's attacks on Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, said Murray, were making things more difficult for Republicans in the state.

"Republicans in Georgia say that the combination of Trump's attacks on his own party and the Willis investigation are mounting to one giant political headache," she said.
