On Monday, former President Donald Trump endorsed John Gibbs for Congress in Michigan, in a primary challenge against Rep. Peter Meijer, one of ten Republicans who voted to impeach him for incitement of the January 6 Capitol attack — and misspelled Meijer's name in the process.

"Meyer [sic] has been a terrible representative of the Republican Party and beyond," wrote Trump. "John Gibbs is a fabulous talent who loves the State, our Military, and our Vets. He will always protect our Second Amendment, our Southern Border, and the Police — there will be no defunding with John!"

Trump has endorsed a number of primary challengers to lawmakers who voted for his impeachment, including against Reps. Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-WA), Fred Upton (R-MI), and Liz Cheney (R-WY).
