Woman ‘miraculously’ survives with minor injuries after car crushed by semi north of Seattle

SEATTLE — A 46-year-old woman suffered only minor injuries when her car was crushed by a semitruck Tuesday morning on Interstate 5 in Mount Vernon. “I’ve never seen anything like this,” said Washington State Patrol trooper Rocky Oliphant. “It’s miraculous.” The woman was the only person in the Nissan Altima when the vehicle was sandwiched between two semitrucks on the Skagit River Bridge.
