George Clooney: ‘Failed screenwriter’ Steve Bannon is not welcomed back in Hollywood
It doesn’t look like Steve Bannon is welcomed back in Tinseltown.
President Donald Trump’s former aide, who started as an executive producer in Hollywood in the 1990s, has since produced 19 films — most of which bombed.
If Bannon had any plans to throw his hat back in the ring, he’d better think again.
Hollywood superstar George Clooney destroyed Bannon at the Toronto International Film Festival, claiming former producer and financier would be sucking up to him if he was still trying to be a big-screen big shot.
“Steve Bannon is a failed f*cking screenwriter, and if you’ve ever read (his) screenplay, it’s unbelievable,” Clooney told Entertainment Weekly.
“Now, if he’d somehow managed miraculously to get that thing produced, he’d still be in Hollywood, still making movies and licking my ass to get me to do one of his stupid-ass screenplays.”
Clooney is also not a fan of Bannon’s Breitbart website — which has targeted the actor’s political views over the last couple of years.
“I’d be ashamed 10 years from now if those weasely little putzes, whose voices are getting a lot higher every week as this presidency starts to look worse and worse weren’t still (after me),” Clooney said.
