Hurricane Irma has been wreaking havoc across the Caribbean, and a new video from the Virgin Islands shows that the storm has left behind a massive trail of destruction while causing an untold amount of property damage.
The new video was posted on social media by Instagram user Sam Branson, and it shows Virgin Islands residents surveying the devastation caused by the Category 5 hurricane that struck them this week.
The landscape looks like a war zone, with roofs torn off of houses, trees toppled over, and debris scattered everywhere.
"This video is quite traumatic," writes Branson. "Most buildings completely destroyed. Many left homeless. Beyond tragic. My deepest wishes go to all those affected."
