Actor Mark Ruffalo made good on his promise to take on vapid and sexist questions for co-star Scarlett Johansson as they promote the latest “Avengers” movie.
Johnansson had complained during the press junket for the previous installment that Robert Downey Jr. was asked “existential questions” while she got “the rabbit food questions” about her diet and her body.
Ruffalo, who plays The Hulk, vowed in a Tumblr post to handle those questions for Johannson, who plays Black Widow – and Cosmopolitan flipped the script during a promotional interview.
The host asked Ruffalo what he would wear later that night to the London premier of “The Avengers: Age of Ultron,” and he said he would be wearing a midnight blue Burberry suit.
Then he and Johansson discussed what poses would be most flattering to his body type, but the actress explained that photographers usually just shout out instructions during red-carpet events.
The interviewer then asked Johannson if she did all her own stunts during the movie before asking Ruffalo if he had felt much pressure to slim down or go on a diet before making the movie.
“Not really,” he said, as Johansson joked that they had eaten “a bunch of peanut butter and did some pushups.”
