Internet pounds Greg Abbott with ridicule after he compares bathroom laws to the moon landing
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott finally found something even dumber to say than, “Maybe there’s something to all this Jade Helm 15 conspiracy talk.”
Abbott waded into the political debate over which public bathrooms transgender people should be legally permitted to use with a tweet Tuesday morning comparing the issue to the 1969 moon landing.
JFK wanted to send a man to the moon. Obama wants to send a man to the women's restroom. We must get our country back on track. #tcot

Twitter users quickly and mercilessly mocked the Republican governor and former state attorney general.
@GregAbbott_TX Congrats! This is the dumbass political equivalent of the "10 years ago we had Steve Jobs, Bob Hope and Johnny Cash" tweet.
