President Donald Trump was at his Bedminster, New Jersey golf course last weekend as Hurricane Maria ravaged the American territory of Puerto Rico. Now, as the Washington Post reports, "administration officials [will] not say whether the president spoke with any other top officials involved in the storm response while in Bedminster."
For four days, Trump and his top aides were publicly silent about the unfolding disaster on the island. He assembled some cabinet members, including Acting Homeland Security Secretary Elaine Duke, at Bedminster for a meeting -- but only to discuss his new travel ban that was released earlier this week.
During that same time, the president tweeted multiple times about NFL players who choose to protest on the field by kneeling during the national anthem.
