27-year-old Bristol Palin announces she is joining cast of 'Teen Mom OG'

Bristol Palin, the daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, will star on Teen Mom O.G., TMZ reports.

The younger Palin has three children by two baby daddies, the first of which she had at age 17 when her mother's political career was at its peak. She divorced the father of that child, a high school hockey player, and then married a former Marine, Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer, who she is now also divorcing.

The would-be second daughter follows in the footsteps of notorious teen mom-turned-porn star Farrah Abraham, who was fired from the show for being "too difficult."

The show will air this fall.
