'55, tough time to start over for a man': Watch Obama's hilarious job interview with Stephen Colbert

President Barack Obama made a hilarious appearance on Stephen Colbert's Late Show on Monday night, playing himself in a mock interview sketch seeking tips on career opportunities when he leaves office.

Playing office manager "Randy," Colbert pointed out to to the soon-to-be ex-president that his age is a consideration.

"Fifty-five, a tough time to start over for man," Colbert explained before asking. "I don't see any promotions for the last eight years. That's not always good. Can you explain that?"

"Honestly, there wasn't a lot of room for advancement at my last job," Obama explained "The only one with a more powerful position was my wife."

Colbert later noted, "It doesn't say here. Where were you born?"

"Really?" Obama replied with a look as Colbert added, "Is this is the longest form of this resume that is available?"

Colbert was unimpressed when Obama mentioned in passing that he has won a Nobel Peace Prize saying, "I have almost 39 honorary degrees and I did get the Nobel Peace Prize."

"Or really, what were they for?" Colbert asked.

"To be honest, I still don't know," Obama admitted.
