'Angry and intoxicated': Highlights from the Palin family brawl police report

Authorities in Anchorage, Alaska said on Thursday that they would not press charges in connection with a local brawl last month involving relatives of former Gov. Sarah Palin (R), the Anchorage Dispatch News reported.

Police also released their report of the Sept. 6 incident at a group birthday party organized by a local homeowner, Korey Klingenmeyer. The report corroborates prior accounts saying Klingenmeyer was hosting a group birthday party when the Palins arrived.

Klingenmeyer told officers that Palin's daughter, Bristol Palin, hit him in the face several times after threatening to start a fight with another unidentified woman, saying she wanted to "knock that b*tch out." Three witnesses backed up Klingenmeyer's statement, saying she punched him five or six times. Klingenmeyer said he pushed Bristol Palin down after blocking another punch by grabbing her hand and arm.

At that point, he said, her brother, Trick Palin, and another man reportedly started trying to punch Klingenmeyer. The report stated that when police arrived at the residence, a shirtless Trick Palin was being pushed into a limousine and had a "bloody mouth, an injury under his left eye and an injury on his left elbow."

One officer described Trick Palin as "angry and intoxicated" when he stepped out of the vehicle. Palin told police that the fight started when a friend of his, identified as Steven Lebida, was punched from behind by an unidentified assailant. However, Lebida refused to speak to officers, saying he had tripped.

Bristol Palin told police that she did not know who Klingenmeyer was, identifying him as "the guy in the red shirt," and accusing him of dragging her on the lawn by the legs and calling her a "slut" and a "c*nt."

Both Sarah Palin and her husband Todd are listed as witnesses, but no interviews with them were listed in the report. However, one officer reported that Todd Palin confronted Klingenmeyer in his driveway while he was speaking to another witness and asked if he called Willow Palin a "b*tch." The officer had to separate the two men when Willow Palin entered the discussion and flipped Klingenmeyer the bird. The Palins left the scene afterwards.

Another witness, Matthew McKenna, told police that the incident started over animosity between Bristol and Willow Palin's boyfriends and guests at the party. He described the two siblings as "drunk" at the time. Authorities said none of the people involved chose to press charges, so no arrests were made.
