Anthony Scaramucci, who briefly served as the White House communications director during President Donald Trump's first term, credited the President with exceptional political instincts in navigating cultural conflict.
Scaramucci, now a fierce Trump critic, compared Trump to Napoleon on a Sunday post, arguing he intuitively grasps issues from transgender athletes to anti-woke sentiment and Bible Belt values. He cited a conversation he shared with Trump, when the President said, "My base is socially conservative and fiscally liberal. They are working-class people who need the government's help."
Scaramucci attributed Trump's refusal to touch Social Security and Medicare to calculated political understanding rather than generosity. He characterized this assessment as a warning to fellow critics, arguing, underestimating Trump's appeal explains repeated opposition losses.
Critics pushed back, suggesting Trump merely receives fed information and acts as a puppet for operatives.
Scaramucci countered, arguing Trump's durable connection with working-class voters reflects early understanding of his base and unwavering commitment to those who elected him.
