'Why are you asking me about this?' Pro-Trump lawyer freaks after being questioned on Michael Cohen's sleaze

Attorney Victoria Toensing erupted at CNN host Alisyn Camerota after she kept asking her to comment on Trump fixer Michael Cohen's sleazy side business that involved getting corporations to dole out cash for direct access to President Donald Trump.

During an interview with Toensing, Camerota pressed the pro-Trump lawyer about whether it was legal or appropriate for Cohen to be soliciting cash from corporations -- including one directly linked to a Russian oligarch -- in exchange for getting them meetings with Trump and his inner circle.

Toensing tried to argue that Cohen's actions were not "swampy" because he "doesn't live or work in the swamp so he really doesn't know how to get along in it like the rest of us who live here."

Camerota seemed taken aback that Toensing couldn't find anything the least bit sleazy about Cohen selling out his access to the president -- and Toensing responded by saying that she wasn't told that she'd have to answer questions about Cohen when she agreed to come on the show.

"So I had said I'm not going to talk about Cohen or Stormy," she said. "I'll be glad to talk about the subpoena and I would hope that you would like to talk to me about whether the president can be subpoenaed."

Camerota, however, continued to press Toensing by outlining the connections between Russian oligarch Viktor Vekselberg and payments made to Cohen after the 2016 presidential election.

"Why are you continuing to ask me about this?" an indignant Toensing said.
