Attorney General Bill Barr refuses to testify to the House -- because of their 'format'

Attorney General Bill Barr said through the Department of Justice that he has no intention of speaking to the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday. His complaint was "the committee format."

According to sources who spoke to PBS reporter Yamiche Alcindor "the next step is to subpoena AG Barr to make him come testify before the House Judiciary Committee and compel him to answer questions posed by congressional attorneys. A reminder: The hang up is that Barr only wants Qs to come from lawmakers."

Judiciary Chairman Rep. Jerry Nadler (R-NY) has not yet subpoenaed Barr for his committee, but he could. If Barr does not appear after the subpoena, he could be held in contempt of Congress.
