The United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Ben Carson, warned how a single North Korean nuclear missile could cause an apocalypse, The Washington Postreported Tuesday.
The story recounted a Capitol Hill holiday party, where the neurosurgeon asked his acting chief of staff Deana Bass if she was familiar with what an electromagnetic pulse, or EMP, could do to the North American power grid.
“Did you know that if North Korea detonated a nuclear weapon into our exosphere, it could take out our entire electrical grid?” the cabinet secretary asked.
“What’s that movie where there’s complete lawlessness and anarchy for one night a year?” Carson wondered. “‘The Purge’! It will be like ‘The Purge’ all the time.”
