Bill Clinton rape accuser slams 'tasteless' Trump for trying to exploit her pain with campaign ad

A woman who accused former President Bill Clinton of raping her says that a new Trump ad that uses her voice is "very tasteless," and yet she supports the Republican nominee anyway.

BuzzFeed reported Monday that Juanita Broaddrick -- who accused Pres. Bill Clinton in 1999 of raping her two decades before -- didn't realize her voice would be in a new campaign ad for Donald Trump until she heard it.

"(I)n fact, I was extremely surprised about it,” Broaddrick told WRKO radio. “I was surprised but I have to say, I’m not unhappy about it. It is painful to hear, it’s painful to hear my voice, say those words again, but I think it’s important.”

In an interview with NBC's Dateline in 1999, Broaddrick tearfully recounted the alleged sexual assault by then-Arkansas Attorney General Clinton. The Trump campaign edited part of her story into a 20-second campaign ad. The ad was released two months ago.

“I was really hurt,” Broaddrick said. “You take the most awful part of my Dateline interview, where I’m crying, trying to relate what had happened to me, and put that in a campaign ad? I thought it was very tasteless.”

She went on to say, “I take interviews as they come, when people ask I try assist as best I can to explain about Hillary. But I’ve had no contact with Donald Trump’s organization or Donald Trump. I just really don’t know at this moment.”

She said that she intends to vote for Trump in November, but she's uncertain as to whether she will get personally involved in the campaign.

“I’m very appreciative to him for bringing out this about Clinton,” Broaddrick said, however, “I don’t have any plans towards that at this moment. It was like, yesterday when that ad came out, I wasn’t aware it was coming out, but yet, it’s OK.”

She accused Democratic nominee and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton of enabling her husband over the course of their marriage.

"Hillary Clinton," she said, "is not innocent in all the cover-up and the attempted attacks on all of the women that Bill Clinton abused. I think she's been very paramount."
