In an historic verdict Bill Cosby has been found guilty on all three counts of aggravated indecent assault.
His wife of 50 years, Camille Cosby, was not sitting next to him as he awaited his unforeseen fate.
Over the past couple of weeks Mrs. Cosby has stayed out of the media spotlight as several women testified against her husband.
In 2014 she defended the accusations made against her husband. In a statement she said: "The man I met, and fell in love with, and whom I continue to love, is the man you all knew through his work. He is a kind man and a wonderful husband, father and friend."
On Tuesday she made a rare appearance at his retrial, reported CNN.
In an interview with CNN's Erica Hill, senior correspondent, Brian Stelter, highlighted that Mrs. Cosby was nowhere to be found during his trial. "There was no sign of his wife Camille," Stelter said.
