Bill Maher recounts the fake call he made as part of the #BoycottAlabama movement

Comedian Bill Maher slammed the effort by Republicans to pass draconian laws against abortion in GOP-controlled states.

Maher updated his viewers with the latest developments and said things were getting so bad Mississippi is going start banning abortion at the moment "you swipe right on Twitter."

The host showed particular scorn for Alabama, which he said "puts the dick in Dixie."

He also offered his thoughts on the "Boycott Alabama" movement, which said applied to bulk purchasers of fried green tomatoes or meth.

He also discussed his fake call to an Alabama business.
