Brett Kavanaugh’s attorney insists Trump nominee has no knowledge of hard-partying alter ego ‘Bart O’Kavanaugh’

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh has sought to depict himself as a mild-mannered high school student who was focused on grades and "service projects."

A very different character emerges from the memoir of Kavanaugh's close friend, Mark Judge. The recovering alcoholic's sodden life story features a running buddy named Bart O'Kavanaugh who drinks to the point of puking and passing out. In matching yearbook entries, Judge asked “Bart” if he had “boofed yet,” while Kavanaugh asked Judge if he had “boofed yet.”

Brett and Bart are not related, Kavanaugh's attorney told CNN on Monday morning.

“I don’t think he has any idea who Judge is referring to,” Kavanaugh’s lawyer Beth Wilkinson said when she was asked about Bart O'Kavanaugh.

Wilkinson expressed pity for the Kavanaugh's former booze buddy, who is holed up in a beach house in Delaware as he tries to avoid answering questions about his more accomplished friend.

"My heart goes out to him, because he was honest and writing about addiction problems and he has been clean and sober for many years and I don't know anything about him other than he issued a statement," she said.
