Trump co-defendant asks GA judge to hear new rumors for Fani Willis disqualification

A co-defendant in Donald Trump's election interference case has asked Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee to allow at least one more witness in an attempt to disqualify District Attorney Fani Willis for corruption.

"Defendant Cathy Latham files this Notice of Proposed Testimony and respectfully submits to the Court and the parties that, in the event that the evidence were re-opened regarding the various motions to dismiss or to disqualify the District Attorney for Fulton County Fani T. Willis and/or Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade from the prosecution of this action, that Ms. Latham would offer the testimony of attorney Manny Arora, former adjunct professor at Georgia State School of Law and Board Certified in criminal law," Tuesday's motion stated.

McAfee has already heard testimony from witnesses after complaints from Trump and his co-defendants that a romantic relationship between Willis and Wade should mean she is disqualified from the election interference case she's prosecuting about them.

He has said he expects to reach a decision within two weeks.

But attorneys for Latham said Arora had several conversations with Terrence Bradley, Wade's former colleague and that McAfee should reconvene to hear from him.

Bradley, however, testified he had no proof the affair between Willis and Wade began before the prosecution of Trump and his co-defendants.

"Between September through October 2023, Mr. Arora had several conversations with attorney Terrence Bradley regarding the relationship between District Attorney Wills and Nathan Wade," the motion claimed.

Arora was expected to testify that "Mr. Wade had definitely begun a romantic relationship with Ms. Willis during the time that Ms. Willis was running for District Attorney in 2019 through 2020."

"After the election during Ms. Wills' transition, she had Mr. Wade supervise the transition including hiring and firing candidates after interviews," the motion continued. "Mr. Bradley stated that he had personal knowledge of the relationship between Mr. Wade and District Attorney Wills, including details regarding the use of Ms. Robin Yeartie's apartment such as Mr. Wade's having a garage opener to the property."

Trump, along with several co-defendants, have been charged in Fulton County, Georgia, related to actions attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election results. The specific charges stem from an intense investigation led by Willis, the Fulton County District Attorney, focusing on unlawful efforts to influence Georgia's election outcomes.

The charges come after a thorough examination of events, including the well-known phone call where Trump suggested finding more votes to secure his win in Georgia. This call, among other actions, has led to serious legal implications for Trump and his associates.
