White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders blindsided the media on Thursday.

Trump’s top spokesperson announced at about 4:05 p.m. (ET) that she would be holding a briefing in 5 minutes.

"Chaos in the White House briefing room as cameramen and reporters rush in," said Steven Nelson of the Washington Examiner.
