Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was temporarily taken to the hospital "out of an abundance of caution" after he got "lightheaded," his staff said.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Leader's office noted that Schumer, 74, was in the Senate gym when he didn't feel well.
"Schumer was at the Senate gym this morning and got lightheaded. Out of an abundance of caution, he went to the hospital to be treated for dehydration and is now back at work in the Capitol," the statement said. "He wants to remind everyone to drink some water and stay out of the heat."
