Clinton campaign chairman Podesta: Still 'very much unknown' whether 'Trump, Inc' colluded with Russia

Former Clinton 2016 campaign chairman John Podesta said on Sunday that it is far from resolved whether Republican President-elect Donald Trump or any member of his campaign team colluded with the Russian government in tilting the election in Trump's favor.

"I would argue that there's very, it's very much unknown whether there was collusion," Podesta said to MSNBC's Chuck Todd.

"I think Russian diplomats have said post-election that they were talking to the Trump campaign," he continued. "Roger Stone in August foreshadowed the fact that they had hacked my emails, and those would be forthcoming, when he said that he was in touch with Julian Assange and Wikileaks."

"So I really think not what Mr. Trump knew, but what did Trump Inc. know and when did they know it, were they in touch with the Russians?" is the question, Podesta said. "I think those are still very much open questions. And the electors have a right to know what the answers are if the U.S. government has those answers before the election."

Furthermore, Trump's former campaign manager Paul Manafort and other aides have extensive ties with the Russian government and with businesses friendly to Russia's interests.
