CNN panel gasps at Trump voter's excuse for Roy Moore: 'He'd ask them out -- they didn't say he raped them'

CNN on Thursday convened a panel of Trump voters to debate the accusations leveled against defeated Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore -- and one voter caused his fellow panelists to gasp with his excuse for Moore's alleged behavior.

After Trump voter Kim Dowdle, who said that she believes Moore's accusers, explained that many girls in the South are taught to keep quiet if they get abused by powerful men, fellow Trump voter Jimmy Dozier interjected to call the women "liars."

Host Alisyn Camerota then asked Dozier if there was anything that could make him believe Moore's accusers.

"Well, first of all, he hadn't done anything to them," Dozier said. "They said he'd ask them out -- they didn't say he raped them."

This caused Dowdle's eyes to grow wide as she raised up her hands and said, "Whoa, whoa!"

Camerota then pointed out that one of Moore's accusers said she felt Moore was going to try to rape her, but Dozier was still dismissive.

"How do you feel like, 'I'm going to try to rape you?'" he asked. "That's wrong!"

"If you're ripping someone's shirt off, and forcibly kissing them," Camerota replied.

"He had his clothes off!" exclaimed Dowdle.

Interestingly, Dozer said that, even though he didn't believe Moore's accusers, he still didn't vote for Moore because he's a "radical" who only looks out for himself and not the people of the state.
