CNN's Jake Tapper bluntly sums up Mueller's latest Flynn memo: 'Cut the crap'

On Friday Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team put out legal documents that suggest they're not swayed by General Michael Flynn's excuse that he didn't know it was illegal to lie to the FBI.

Over the day, countless legal analysts have pointed out that Flynn had run intelligence agencies prior to joining the Trump administration and clearly knew it's a crime to lie to federal investigators.

On CNN's The Lead with Jake Tapper, the anchor put it bluntly.

"Robert Mueller just told General Flynn and his attorneys to cut the crap about being coaxed into lying by the FBI," Tapper said at the top of his segment.
