Cohen’s intimidation claims may leave Trump exposed to another felony: MSNBC analyst

MSNBC national security reporter Ken Dilanian said Wednesday that Michael Cohen's claim that President Donald Trump has threatened his family could leave the president exposed to another felony charge: witness tampering.

"Witness intimidation is something that the president has been accused of, and what he has been doing with Michael Cohen online," said host Katy Tur, asking Dilanian if the president's frequent attacks on his former fixer added up to a crime.

"Many legal experts have said on our network and other places that this could add up to witness tampering and witness intimidation," replied Dilanian.

"[Convicted Trump presidential campaign manager Paul] Manafort was charged with witness tampering for seemingly less than this, for simply articulating a false story to a witness," he continued. "Perhaps this will be a subject of the long awaited report by special counsel Robert Mueller, whether this fits into the pattern of obstruction of justice that Mueller appears to be investigating."
