Colbert's Reading Rainbow kids review Bob Woodward's book about 'an ogre made of cheese who runs the country'

In Stephen Colbert's Wednesday night opener, the host created his own version of the PBS show "Reading Rainbow," and a child's review of Bob Woodward's book Fear.

"When you grow up, do you want to be the president?" asked one young girl. "Well, this book shows that anybody can do it. It's called Fear by Bob Woodward. In it, an ogre made of cheese runs the country without knowing anything about how to do it. It's scary and funny and sad, all at the same time."

Another girl said that her favorite part of the book was "watching the republic crumble before our eyes."

Another youngster said that she liked the part where the president orders the assassination of Bashar al-Assad.

"But then his generals ignored him," she said with a chuckle.

"Don't read it before bed. You'll get nightmares," confessed one boy.

"And don't read it in the day, because you'll get daymares," a girl agreed.

The book that followed was If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. A young man said that he wished the mouse was president instead.
