College-bound Texas baseball star charged with molesting kids as young as five at mom's daycare

A high school baseball star who was headed to off to college on an athletic scholarship is currently being held in a Texas jail after being charged with assaulting two children at his mother's daycare business.

According to NBC-DFW,  Zachary Alan Holifield, 17, is charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and one count of indecency with a child by sexual contact.

Police state the alleged assaults took place at his mother's home where she maintains her business and that one of the victims was as young as five years old.

The 6-foot-7, 240-pound Holifield had recently committed to playing baseball Oklahoma State University on a scholarship after graduating from Plano Senior High School.

After being arrested on June 20,Holifield has remained in custody on $600,000 bail.
