CONFIRMED: Stoners eat nachos, like Russell Brand and say they're 'alternative'

New research from a British polling company indicates that some regular marijuana users can be as "unmotivated" as people think, Mashable reported.

The company, YouGov, said in a statement on Friday that it compiled data from 890 users who said they smoked pot more than once a week, allowing it to compile what it described as the profile of the "quintessential" marijuana enthusiast.

According to YouGov, the typical marijuana smoker is a male between the ages of 25 and 39 and a political moderate, though many agreed with the statement that "the world is controlled by a secretive elite."

"As we get to know him more, we discover (through the personality data) that he considers himself 'alternative,' 'individualistic,' 'challenging,' 'non-judgemental,' and 'easy going,'" YouGov stated. At the same time, this "quintessential" pot smoker "admits that, at times, he can be 'unmotivated,' 'stroppy,' 'arrogant,' 'scatty,' and 'depressed.'"

The data also revealed that comedian and activist Russell Brand was considered users' favorite celebrity, while two other comedians, Cheech and Chong, had drawn the most Facebook "likes" within the group. YouGov's "lifestyle" data also showed most users listing nachos as their favorite dish and video games as their favorite hobby.

The company said it will keep users' identities anonymous while continuing to release similar studies charting demographic data.
