Costumed creeps kick man’s face in vicious anti-gay attack in NYC elevator

A group of men and women in costume attacked a 36-year-old man in the elevator of a luxury hotel in New York City's West Village after calling the man an anti-gay slur.

The New York Daily News said the attack took place in the Jane Hotel at around 1 a.m. on Sunday.

Police have released surveillance video taken in the hall outside the elevator just moments before the vicious beating. The video shows five men and two women dressed in Halloween costumes standing next to the man they were about to punch and kick in the face.

In the seconds after the video was shot, a male in the group called the victim an anti-gay epithet. The group then attacked the man, driving him to the floor and kicking his face.

The victim was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in Manhattan and treated for injuries that included a serious gash to the forehead.

No arrests have been made. The attackers are described as five men and two women, all white and in their 20s.
