Creationist Ken Ham offers public schools a massive discount to bring kids to his Ark museum

Attention, public schools!

Do you want to make your students significantly more ignorant for a rock-bottom price?

Well, you're in luck: Creationist Ken Ham is offering public schools a big discount if they bring their kids to his new Ark Encounter museum on a field trip.

In response to a campaign from the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FRFF) to convince schools to not bring their children to the museum, Ham has announced that "if public school students are booked as a group through their school to come to the Ark Encounter (or Creation Museum)... we will allow them to do so at a cost of $1 per child with accompanying teachers free."

This really is a big discount from regular prices, in case you're curious -- normally, children between the ages of 5 and 12 have to pay $28 a pop for the "privilege" of boarding the Ark.

Hopefully, any school that actually takes advantage of this offer will go there to have students point and laugh at exhibits of Noah's family rounding up dinosaurs onto an ark.

That said, there is sadly a chance that schools will see the Ark Encounter as a legitimate "educational" exercise, which is why groups like the FFRF are sounding the alarm to parents who don't want their kids coming home from school believing the Earth was created 6,000 years ago and that Jesus used to heal lepers while riding around on a triceratops.
