Creationists praying for Richard Dawkins after he tweets 'atheism is a race'

Creationists are praying for Richard Dawkins after the evolutionary biologist tweeted that atheism was a race and that anti-atheists were racist "atheophobic bigots."

“I think he's either lost it, or someone hacked his account. I believe the latter,” creationist Ray Comfort wrote on his Facebook page.

Dawkins later clarified that his tweet was sarcastic.

'"Atheists are a race'? Yes of course that's utterly stupid. Exactly as stupid as the oft-heard 'Muslims are a race.' And that is the point," he tweeted.

'"Atheism is a race.' For any level of sarcasm, no matter how obvious, Twitter will find somebody stupid enough to take it literally."

Comfort decided it was time for Christians to pray for Dawkin's confused soul.

“Apparently he sent out another tweet saying that it was sarcasm. He needed to do that, because some of the things he's been saying recently have been crazier than normal. Let's pray for the man,” he wrote in an update.
