Democrats bust Whitaker for trying to run out the clock on every question: ‘We don’t need a speech’

On Friday, acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker faced the House Judiciary committee about whether he compromised Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation by discussing it with President Donald Trump.

When Hank Johnson (D-GA) asked Whitaker why he had not recused himself, as Jeff Sessions had, Whitaker appeared to dissemble.

That's when Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) cut in, scolding Whitaker to abstain from stalling and answer directly.

"It's getting tiresome to hear you stall, " Nadler said.

"The answer should be yes or no or some other date or I don't remember. We don't need a speech."
