Democrats are planning to take out these 32 vulnerable lawmakers in 2020

Not content with taking control of the House in 2018 midterm election, Democrats are already eyeing vulnerable Republican lawmakers -- many of  whom are closely allied with unpopular President Donald Trump ahead of the 2020 election.

According to CNN, the Democratic leadership has created a list of 32 GOP House members -- including two who are under federal investigations and may not make it to the 2020 election-- whose seats may be up for grabs.

In a Democratic Party strategy memo obtained by CNN, Rep. Cheri Bustos (D-IL), chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, listed their targets -- all of whom survived the "blue wave' 2018 midterm Republican debacle.

"2018 was just the tip of the iceberg for Democrats," said Bustos. "Today we are announcing our plan to go on offense and grow our New Democratic Majority. We have a clear path to expanding our Democratic Majority, and by putting our plans in motion earlier in the cycle than ever before, we are demonstrating to Democrats across the country that the political arm of House Democrats is operating in high gear from the start."

Among their targets is Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), who is closely aligned with Donald Trump's administration and has run interference for the president who is under investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller.

Additionally, the seats held by two House members who are under investigation by the Justice Department, Reps. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) and Chris Collins (R-NY), are seen by Democrats as ripe for the picking, particularly if they open up before the 2020 election.

Also targeted is Rep. Steve King (R-IA) who was recently rebuked by his own party for his support of white nationalists.
